About Marilyn Vrooman-Robertson

My path to exercise therapy wasn’t traditional — but it was meant to be.

After years in a demanding corporate governance career, long hours of sitting and rising stress took a toll. A midlife wake-up call and a diagnosis of high blood pressure pushed me to rebuild my strength and prioritize movement. That journey led me to competitive powerlifting and a deep appreciation for functional, everyday strength.

In 2019, a serious concussion sustained in a simple slip and fall changed everything. Recovery took nearly 1.5 years and required a full team of therapists — and the guidance of one remarkable exercise therapist who helped me regain confidence, capability, and a sense of myself. Her impact is the reason I returned to school to train to become an exercise therapist. I told over a dozen certifications specifically related to aging well.

Today, I help adults 50+ move with confidence, reduce pain, build real strength, and reclaim the freedom they deserve. My approach blends evidence-based movement with mindset support, because thriving at every age begins with believing in your own potential.

I’m married to my best friend, Kevin, and together we have a blended family with seven children, nine grandchildren, and one very loved dog. When I’m not working with clients, you can find me hiking mountain trails, cycling, kayaking, working on a watercolour or lifting weights — training to live well into my 100s.
